The new archive material includes excerpts from first drafts, a letter from Roald Dahl to his editor, notebook scribbles and sketches and early character lists accompanied by archivist’s commentary showing how the author’s stories and characters began and evolved into the Roald Dahl worlds we all know and love today.
The Roald Dahl Classic Collection reinstates the versions of Dahl’s books that were published before the 2022 Puffin editions, aimed at newly independent young readers.
